Yesterday, I had my first ever bowl of Chopt salad, and wow, did it exceed my expectations. All the ingredients were fresh and very crunchy, and there was just a lot to choose from, which is always a lot of fun. Best of all, the Creamy Sesame dressing was probably the best salad dressing I've ever had. This is a huge compliment because I'm really picky about my dressings. The only salad dressings I genuinely like (and not just tolerate, like the millions of vinaigrettes out there) are Caesar and ranch, both of which I always feel guilty about having because of the lactose.  Creamy Sesame, on the other hand, is completely vegan! And still very good! It has a creamy-but-not-mealy base, a rare find for a vegan dressing. It has a noticeable sesame flavor that doesn't overpower the main ingredients of the salad. I wasn't able to find a line-by-line ingredients list, but the allergen guide says that there are eggs, sesame (obviously), soy, onion, and garlic in the mix. There is a hint of tanginess that comes from the Sriracha, which balances out the creaminess of the actual dressing. This is maybe what made it taste better than the average Caesar/ranch-type dressings. Its closest equivalent is probably Sweetgreen's Spicy Cashew, which still falls short because cashew doesn't have as strong a flavor profile as sesame. A more general comparison would be the Thousand Island dressing. Creamy Sesame is like the asian cousin of Thousand Island. Either way, much lighter and more flavorful than Caesar.
